The Diabetes Coalition is a voluntary nonprofit alliance of over 50 health care organizations and community partners working together to prevent diabetes and improve the lives of people living with the disease, and those touched by it through awareness, education, advocacy, and access to care.

For years, Florida was challenged with providing superior early childhood education to help children be prepared for kindergarten. As a result of this challenge, in 1999, the Legislature enacted the School Readiness Act (s. 411.01, F.S.), which consolidated each of the early childhood education and childcare programs across the state into one integrated program of school readiness services. Specifically, the act created the Florida Partnership for School Readiness to coordinate school readiness programs administered by local school readiness coalitions at the county or multi-county level. School readiness programs were charged with (but not limited to) overseeing adherence to the following: Implementation of a developmentally-appropriate curriculum; Assurance of appropriate staff-to-children ratio; and Providing parents with information to assist them in the process of choosing a high-quality early learning program within one of the Coalition's contracted child care providers.

The Office of General Counsel is the statewide legal office for the Department of Children and Families. It provides legal advice and representation to all of the Department’s programs, institutions and administrative staff throughout Florida. The lawyers of the Office of General Counsel provide legal counsel to the Secretary, management and all Department employees through 16 locations. The Office also gives advice regarding the Department to the Legislature, Governor, Cabinet members, the Court system, and other state and local governmental agencies

Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. was founded in 1966 as a private, non-profit corporation. FRLS provides free civil legal assistance to indigent families and low income elderly people in thirteen South Central Florida counties. FRLS also provides legal assistance to migrant workers throughout the state of Florida. FRLS is unique in its service of farmworkers because of its rich history. The office of Economic Opportunity – the agency created by R. Sargent Shriver during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration to spearhead the War on Poverty – funded a 2 year demonstration and research project to provide legal services to farmworkers in six South Florida counties. The project was originally called the South Florida Migrant Services.

Located in Riviera Beach, Florida, the Re-Entry Center has been serving ex-offenders returning to Palm Beach County since 2007. To date, The Re-Entry Center has provided essential social services to over 1200 clients utilizing a unique and holistic approach to community reintegration. The strength of the organization is demonstrated through the knowledge base of senior leadership, goal-oriented case managers, client empowerment, and office atmosphere. When clients enter the Re-Entry Center, they are greeted by the “Welcome Home” message colorfully displayed on the message board. Along with the warm message, clients receive weekly inspiration from quotes provided by staff to trigger conversation, insight, and direction in their lives.
